Bitter Tears centers on myrrh absolute and a dark, resinous frankincense rivae, opening with depth. The resins are immediately warmed by spice, with bergamot, pink pepper, cassia, star anise, and ginger lending lift and movement.
As the fragrance develops, gourmand facets begin to emerge. Cocoa, caramelized sweetness, and soft woods gather around the resins, creating a dense but balanced core. Linden blossom, ginger lily, rose, and jasmine absolute introduce a floral presence that tempers the weight of the composition.
The base settles into sandalwood, French oakwood, wild cedarwood atlas absolute, opoponax, and a handmade Madagascan vanilla tincture. Resinous, ambery, and gently gourmand, Bitter Tears is warm and enveloping, with sweetness held firmly in check by smoke, wood, and spice.
