Thorny Issue is a rose fragrance that explores the whole rose, from the juicy, honeyed petals, to the greenness of the leaves and stems, to the leathery thorns.
Thorny Issue takes a modern twist on chypre fragrances by employing cypress and black hemlock absolutes, violet leaf and raspberry leaf absolutes, Galbanum Resinoid, rose & leaf absolute, and the jungle-greenness of Jasmine Auriculatum. Turkish rose and other rose absolutes and rose ottos, along with an underpinning of cool and warm spices, flesh out the heart of the perfume, while immortelle, tobacco, exotic woods, and handmade aged Madagascan vanilla, civet, and hyraceum tinctures round out this unique rose fragrance.
With 4 upcycled materials (rose, cypress, and sandalwood by-absolutes and an upcycled rose otto), it's also green in another sense.
